Did you breastfeed your baby(ies) ??? If so,for how long???

I breastfed my baby as soon as she was taken to my room after giving birth. It wasn't easy at first but eventually it got easier. My daughter is 1 year and 3 months old (on the 26th) and still breastfeeds. She eats regular food and drinks fresh milk but she loves my milk. Her pediatrician says it's ok to continue until she's 2 years old. Some people look at me like I'm crazy and others congratulate me. My baby has gotten sick only twice and it didn't last more than a day. What do you think??? How did you or would you handle this???
