Opinions about Poker

I am a poker dealer for a company who run free tournaments in bars around the city and I absolutely love my job. The funny things is, I didn't even know that they had that type of thing until about 6 months ago. Do they have anything like that where you guys are from? Poker seems to be very popular these days. I absolutely love the movie rounders if you haven't seen it you should its really good. I started playing poker at the bar before I started dealing and I really enjoyed it. You meet lots of people and there is a very diverse crowd. I've made a lot of friends playing and dealing poker. I've also gotten very hooked to poker which could be dangerous but luckily I don't have any money to lose so I have been ok. Do you play poker or have any stories or opinions about poker or gamblimg you can share? Do you agree with the governments decision to only allow gambling in casinos? Do you think they are trying to protect us from the negatives of open gambling or are they just trying to make more money off the casinos? I would also enjoy a discussion with players about the game like playing strategies or what you do and dont like about the game or the way people play.
