Should talking on your cell phone while driving be illegal?

Numerous car accidents have occurred when people are talking on their cell phones. Should it be illegal to use a cell phone when driving?

yes i think cell phones should be illegal while driving.you can't concentrate on what your doing if your talking on the phone.that could be real dangerous.

Well you can't really ban it because people have business to take care off. People should just pay attention to the road.

It is illegal here is South Africa, but they still allow hands free kits. Unfortunately, the ban is rarely enforced.
Research has shown that talking on a cellphone shile driving severely impacts response time and focus, and as such I think that it should be banned.

Here in Australia it is illegal to talk on your cell phone while driving! In Tasmania if you are caught you get a $50 fine! People still do it but not as much as they used to, they brought the fines in about a year or so ago here and it seems to be working in dettering people from using them while driving, I think it is very dangerous as you arent concentration on what you are doing
