Have you ever heard of a virus that makes your turn down it's volume?

I'm not sure if this is a virus or a setting the computer can be on. Other people were using my computer today so I'm not sure if they accidently did something or if it's a virus. I have McAfee and Norton, but they're both coming up negative. The volume is going down completly so, there is no sound.

hi. i never heard such virus but its possible. by the way is it really a virus or maybe former user/s of your computer accidentally changed the settings. or maybe accidentally uninstall your sound device. hope you can figure that out. good luck

a virus is a small program that can harm your pc by restarting it, freezing it or even by deleting your files.
an antivirus is a program that keeps viruses away from your computer.
remember that any computer must have an antivirus program installed. and don't forget to keep it up to date!
i am using f-secure for my machine....
