I heard something about a home study packet. I guess it's a substitute for drivers-ed. How does that work and what do I need to do to get started?

I have never heard about driver training from a book. When my father bought me my car I did not know driving. But my uncle taught me to drive in two days. After that I was driving alone. I have given driving lessons to my freinds. Except one friend who took over 10 years to learn, all others were able to independently drive in two days, even females.
The difficult thing in driving is the clutch. Remember unlike an electric motor the internal combution engine is a series of activities. If one activity falters the engine stops. So we have to make sure that the strain on the engine is controlled. This is done using the gears and the cluth. Just hop into a car and try.
