What is seeding of torrents?

what is seeding? Is it useful? Should we maintain the share ratio above 1? If I increase "up speed" then does "down speed" also increases?

seeding is seed to another people the download, this increase the velocity of their download, seeding dont "down speed" of your download, "maintain the share ratio above 1" its impossible, your down speed is ever more than the upload speed
