The health facilities are adequately developed. The District has 6 hospitals, 68 primary health centres, primary health units, 433 sub-centres and 18 family welfare centres with total bed strength of 1674. This is besides the total bed strength of 3105 available in private hospitals. Each village in the district has a qualified Private Medical Practitioner.
