Is the LORD OF THE RINGS series one of the best written story of all time?

well, this is a gem of a creation ,an epic story,a grand creation,..the finest thing abt this movie is the art work the sets and costumes,,,,,the direction was simply outsatnding....what are ur thoughts abt this, one of the most intresting and remarkable story of all time.
