Sen. Barack Obama is the media flavor of the month for the next U.S. President. As a result of this attention, his supporters and detractors are coming out of the woodwork. One of the things I hear detractors say is...
"He isn't really an African-American"...
What amounts to reasons in this stupitidy?
~His mother is white and father is Black
~He was born to privilege, and doesn't understand what it means to be poor in America
~He went to an ivy league school
I guess it escapes the brains of the brainless that sure, his mother is White, but his father is from Kenya...
Which means, he is one of the few truly African-Americans (or more to reality an Kenyon-American) in the US... and bigots can't seem to see that.

I like him. People are just stupid. I think he would make a good president but I dont think he will win.

I'm waiting for the primaries.. when the other candidates can have a go at him. So far the white washing from the press doesn't tell us much.

people have to also understand that though he is black/white, he has felt a lot of what most black men have expereinced because of the color of his skin. Ihave so many "mixed" friends but depending on what color their skin is and what they look like, they get treated according to that. Its sad I know, but trust me when everyone looks at Barack Obama, they see a black man.
