How much do you spend on holiday seasons

I know of people in my family easily spending 500 dollars just on gifts and I think it is ridiculous. How much do you spend personally on gifts. How much money is too much. When do you put a limit?

I just added mine up today and I spent $417 which is mostly gifts, a few gift bags, and stuff to make cookies.

We try to put a limit on everything we buy. It's getting a little cheaper with two of my daughters out on their own now so I don't have to get them as much. We still spend about 300 dollars. I just wish everyone would just get together for the christmas season and not buy gifts. It's gift enough to be with your friends and family and its priceless.(except for the cost of driving)

I'm spending on gifts about 300 - 400 EEK, it will make about 27 - 35 dollars. A gift shouldn't always be very expensive, the best is if it's something you know, the recipient likes to have. And there the things are cheaper than yours, I guess.

For this holiday season, we spent around $150 dollars (converted from peso) for gifts alone. We don't have time to really look for nice but cheap gifts. We just bought our gifts from department stores so it is kinda expensive. But then, it is the season of giving :)
