I love birds, they are sweet and nice, but hate to see them on cage...that's why I can't get one...if I want to own a bird or more, I'll have to put them on a cage....so I prefer not!
I wich I could have a very big garden, with flowers and trees, then I can get some birds and let them fly and live on it!!
just woundering will they stay, or maybe they will fly so far and never com back :(

I guess that would depend on what kind of bird you are talking about. If you are talking about pet birds, like lovebirds or parrot type birds, yea I would say you would want a cage of some sort... where else is the little birdie gonna perch?
My Amazon parrot is in a cage, but he spends most of his time climbing around on it or flying around the house. At night he goes inside and snuggles up on his perch to sleep.
Right now he is sitting outside on 1 of his branches... and barking like a dog!

Yeha, birds? Need to at least have a cage to sleep in at night. A lot of people have them and have them out and about in the house - especially the larger parrots - during the day. I have a tiel, and he comes out when the cat's outside and hangs around. You have to be very, very careful though - birds are delicate and a lot of common househol items can injure or poison them. And birds can never be outside without a tether - it doesn't matter how well trained they are, they will get away.

Birds were created by God to be free and to fly. To put them in a tiny cage is so mean, just so we can have them to look at.

like birds out.
Not in cage. Cage is like a jail.If you are in jail you will like or not.same way birds are also free you do not have any rights to cage them!

How sweet your heart is. I wish others felt like you. They were created to fly and be free. Not for humans to cage like in a jail.

You can build your own aviary. I raise doves and took a dog pen that you can get from walmart... they are 6x10 and screened it in and put a roof on it. I bought some fake plants and vines. They loved it. I dont think there is anything wrong with caged birds. I caged my doves for a long time but I would let them fly around the house every now and then.

I think birds are beautiful but I have never owned one. My sister used to have a cockatiel. She would let her fly around the house during the day but cage her at night. My son was at her house one day and he let her bird outside. When my sister ask him why he told her that it needed to take a walk. I couldn't help but laugh because he was only 2 at the time. The bird never came back.

I never want to have a pet because I don;t want they stay at cage and not feel freedom. I knpw they will have enough food, wnough drink, but they dpon;t have freedom. That;s why I choose not to have a pet.

When I was yet very young, our grandfather had a Philippine eagle. He took care of it from birdling, just after having been hatched. They did not place it in a cage and the bird has its name and a way to be called - a certain undistinguished whistle which my grandfather and the bird only understood.
When the eagle was already flying high and our grandfather wanted to call him, he whistled and the eagle just dive down to him on his shoulders.
But the eagle soon became harmful to those who try to hurt him and our grandfather. He attacked them and children were so scared when he was sliding down towards them; they ran away screaming.
Some adults got angry and shot the eagle without the knowledge of our grandfather.
You may also perhaps take care of birds and teach them to come back to you.

Everything has its beauty only when they are in the right place. even animals in zoo loose their charm and beauty.
i appreciate your concern and your kind heart towards birds.
beauty should be enjoyed...trying to own doesn't work.
imagine if any animal like elephant or tiger for that matter, start liking human and start arresting people???

Depends, if you have the knowledge and love to take good care of the birds you can keep them as long as they are comfortable on the place. But if not and you have bo time to take good care of it better set them free so they will have the chance to fly and live freely as you said.
If you insists to keep them, you can at a moment but you should free them at a long time.

Depends on the type of bird you want to keep. But you dont have to own one just buy Bird Seeds and throw it on your big garden everyday. You will notice how many birds visit your garden. Works for me.
