Do you prefer going to the movies or renting a movie and watching it at home?

Do you prefer going to the movies to see a movie, or waiting untill it comes out on Dvd and renting it. Personnly I like both, but there is something that I love about going to the movies.

iused to be a theater addict. i always love to watch movies in cinemas. i love the big screen and the surround sound system. but then,i realized, it's too expensive to go to cinemas. so, two years ago,i started buying DVDs and VCDs rather than watching them at theaters. i can even watch my favorite movies with the whole family. more fun. less expensive!

I would rather rent a movie snd watch it in the comfort of my home. The seats in the theatres are uncomfortable. People always talk during the movie. At home the snacks are free and you can pause the movie when you have to go to the potty. And, your feet don't stick to the floor.

Going to the movies is great when the movie theatre is full and the whole audience is chuckling at the same jokes or experiencing the same thrill. It's the joy of the group experience.
When the movie theatre is empty, you might as well have saved your money and watched the movie in the comfort of your own home on DVD.
