Hey Everyone,
I noticed today someone posted like forty something discussions. I know it isn't wrong, but other peoples discussions are getting buried alive. I had a discussion about when you reply to a discussion where do you go first, friends, new, ect. Well New seemed to be they answer. so how do you feel about this.
nothing wrong with it or maybe put a limit? Let me know

Yup, Thats the same guy That made me post this! I'm glad you were able to even find this. I bet he doesn't last long! A discussion is something that goes back and fourth, I bet he doesn't even care about half the post. Hey I could be wrong so I will play it cool and ask mylot what they think.
Thanks for your response

I think myLot should have a policy that says we can only post so many discussions in one day. I think it'll be a while before I post another discussion because, so far, I get very few post on them.

they dont seem to realize that posting a extreme amount os discussions hurts the amount of money you get (the rating system) and you dont get paid for your own discussions. i have only had one succsesful discussion and only brecause it raised a interesting question...it slipped through though till 12 hours later someone found it and revibed it

I didn't know that!
I looked at his profile in sixteen minutes he dad twenty post with fifteen responses. That is in sixteen minutes! You don't think he will accumulate more earnings?
I don't know much about the rating system.
Is there a link to it?

it is wrong, if it is those yes or no questions.. they are trying to cut them out and delete them. But I think there should be like a max of 5 discussions started a day, so if you want to go over, just write it down, and start it the next day. If you think about it, you really dont have to start that many, since there are already almost something on every topic out there.

If you think about it, a limit would help improve the quality of discussions.

I've noticed that, too. its like they sign up, and just post random new discussion topics, one right after the other, regardless if there's already topics just like it, or if they have any interest, they're just posting to post, to try and rack up cash on here. I think a limit of how many new topics you can post per day would be a good thing - especially when you first join. You need to look around and see how the site works and check out other peoples discussion, maybe make some responses, before you start posting willy nilly about whatever.

im not sure about faq on the rating system but
its in the corner below a post..the + - ! in the boxes? if you like the post or think its helpful (like me!) hit the + if its a one word answer hit the - if its a problem or against the rules hit !
the lower your rating the less you get paid so its worthwhile to post well
please rate me

Friends like that who needs enemies. If your friends won't help you out with the postings and ratings you shouldn't waste your time on theirs. I would just use the search and look for discussions I am interested in.

There is this one message board that I belong to that makes you wait a couple of mintues before you can go about posting a new message or something like that. It really isn't long at all, espeically if you are reading all of the messages by the time you go to write a response or something the time is okay. But if you try and spam the boards a little notice will pop up telling you that spamming isn't allowed and that you must wait a little bit longer to post. Personally, I think those things are great. It might not be a good idea to do that on responses, because I can go through and type up five responses in just a few mintues (I am a fast reader and typer), but I agree about the posting of new messages.

no, i dont think there should be any limit to number of posts. Because it limits your earning in a way. Do you actually want that ?
I think people should become more mature themselves.
Where as myLot is doing a wonderful things bringing good changes to the system.

I think it restricts their earnings if nobody responds. I've noticed that discussions I've posted only get credited to me once there is a response.
You also report them, since technically I guess it's spamming.

Thanks for the comment!
This discussion is getting both sides some people say yea their be a limit to how many you can start in a day, and a lot think we would be punishing innocent people.
forty post though maybe its a bot, but if theirs no limit then how would you stop a bot from posting?

Don't be envious or upset..Mylot encourages the creation of topics..Not every topic will interest every person..that is what forums are for..Yes..we try to visit our friends forums that interest us first; but, after that we should look around for other forums of interest to add to and also use our creativity to establish new ones..Be of good cheer, we are all suppose to help each other out here;)+

if its 40 useful discussions i see nothing wrong but even if it seems like too many for 1 time.. also i highly doubt they were all useful im guesing 95% of them were 100% useless.. so its spamming and shouldnt be allowed as all the real discussions are 'buried alive'

I've seen the same thing happen. Tons of posts from the same people and most of the disucssions have very little thought behind them or ways to respond. It gets a bit irritating trying to weed through them all.
What they should do is implement a flood control. So that way a person can only post discussions every so many minutes or one per hour, whatever time limit they want to set. That way they can't post so many at once but have to post them over a span of time.

I agree, there should be a limit to the number of discussions started by each person, I have been on other sites where this happens, and it can spoil decent discussions by swamping the system, everyone should try and be fair and show consideration for others, it would be nice if everyone limited themselves to a maximum of 3 or 4 quality discussions a day, then there would be no need for regulation. Remember its Quality, not Quantity that really matters.
