I am 3 months pregnant and there are three possible men who could be the father. All three of them say it is not theirs but it is one of theirs. How can I prove to them one is the father. Can you do paternity tests while still pregant. I need the fathers helpp to decide if I want to keep the baby or not.

The only way I know of to do a paternity test while pregnant, is to have an amniocentisis done. But this is risky for miscarriage and infection, and might not be done only for reasons of paternity. You may have to wait until the baby is born. Then test the baby and test each of the three boys. I won't call them men. A man takes responsibility for his actions. These males are boys. Don't expect a boy to be a man, just because he has the plumbing...

Correct! A minor cannot have these procedures without parental consent~

You can have an amniocentesis done and have them take the DNA from that and check it with those of the prospective fathers. It might be expensive to do that, I don't know. You could go on the Maury Povich show and have him check the baby's DNA and that of the prospective fathers, if you don't mind the whole world knowing about your business. I don't know if he would do one though before the baby is born. It never hurts to find out.

Amniocentesis is not usually done for paternity purposes because of high risks of miscarriage and infection.

There are 2 pre-term options. One is an amniocentesis. The other is a CVS (Chorionic Villi Sample). Both have risks and possible complications. There is also a blood test that a company out of Canada offers...if you want to spend 1500.00. Plus it has to be your first pregnancy. Plus I'm really not for this kind of testing, as I don't believe in it. When you have a paternity test done, the lab will usually keep the samples for 6 months to one year. SO if one of the tested "alleged fathers" is not the father, your child's sample will still be on file. Thus the second test will not be as expensive as the first. In other words, you won't have to pay the full price of the test again. You'll simply be testing an addition alleged father's sample. Hope this helps.

don't get me wrong, but if you slept with 3 guys and don't know who the father is, why should they help you. You don't know which one it is, why should any of them put time into a pregnant women when they don't know. Make a decision based on no father until the child is born. After the child is born, have them tested. Until then live with the fact that you don't know who fathered your child. Also get yourself checked for stds

Why bother with paternity tests? It is obvious they want nothing to do with you, now that you are pregnant.
Talk to your parents and weigh the pros and cons and make a decision and stick by it.
