Hey there. Are you a plant fan too? :) I Love plants, especially houseplants! Do you ever swap cuttings? I have a bunch of spider plants and some babies to trade! Just let me know. I have never heard of the ponytail palm though!

I love plants, but don't know a whole lot about them. I have some books that I reference frequently. I haven't really swapped any cuttings, but I have started some new plants for myself from cuttings.

I'm not sure if I really have a favorite plant. But, recently, I've really gotten into Washingtonia palms. Those are the palm trees that are native to California, Arizona, and northern Mexico. I love the desert and I found a book that talks about the history of the desert and mentions that they've found fossils of California Fan Palms as long as 7 million years ago. Back then, the mountains hadn't really formed to the west and the area was wetter and more tropical. There were thick forests of these palms there.
I once had an argument with a woman who said she was a nurserywoman at one time who said that there are no native palms in California. I just love to think how ignorant she was.
