I have always disliked Country music since I was 8 years old, and now I have been getting more and more into it. Does anyone else think that Country music is a good style? why or why not? if not what music do you like better? why?

The more I listen to it, the more I like it, It just seems to be a little more fun in its music. and you can actually listen to the words the easiest.

Hi!
I've sort of grown upp always disliking Country music because that was what you were supposed to do. Mainly I think because any examples of country music you heard was sort of extra-very-much-country and over the top. Then I was recomended by my vocal coach to listen to a singer names Alisson Krauss (can't spell her name...). Her music is sort of country, it has a country touch to it, but it's really nice, and that's how I started liking, well, can I call it "country light" - music with a touch of country.
A few years later I got a job in the ensemble of the musical "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas" (most famous for the film made 1982 with Burt Reinolds and Dolly Parton in the main parts) and of course all that music was country music. I learned to listen to lots of country then, and now, although I don't like to much of it or "to much country" country music, Alisson Krauss is one of my favourite vocalists, and I love listening to other similar music!
