Bad children, televisions fault or the parents?

I personally am tired of hearing how the programming on television these days is what is destroying todays youth. If parents did there job and either sat with there children during these shows and explained to them what is real and what is fake. What is right and what is wrong, or even told there children no you can not watch that it's too violent or crude. We would not have such problems, but instead I see more and more parents today letting the television raise there children. They do not even bother to check what the child is watching, let alone take the time to teach there children anything because it is just "easier" to let the television do it for them...Whats your take?
