what came first religion or science?

A very confusing question nadi But still lemme think I think religion came first becozz first of all god might have made this world then only h might have invented the laws of science don't you agree I think everything on this earth have been created by god

Science and religion are both born out of a need to explain the world around us. Science tries to find the explanation with observable and repeatable results while religion uses the imagination to create a story that explains the unexplainable. I think Carl Sagan may have said it best; "How is it that hardly any major religion has looked at science and concluded, 'This is better than we thought! The Universe is much bigger than our prophets said, grander, more subtle, more elegant'? Instead they say, 'No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way.' A religion, old or new, that stressed the magnificence of the Universe as revealed by modern science might be able to draw forth reserves of reverence and awe hardly tapped by the conventional faiths."

I think GOD have made all. All the thing are in the UNIVERSE but the only thing SCIENCE is doing that he is taking off the curtains from that CREATION. God made is CREATION and SCIENCE made is INVENTION. So what GOD has made is INVENTED by SCIENCE. So GOD is the CREATOR and SCIENCE is only INVENTOR. Of course religion comes first. In science today all the inventions invented are all because of the religion. Religion gives a way to live to every human being and without religion there won't be a way to live this valuable life.

I think religion came first because science came in existence when a person discovered or invented something but have u ever thought it to be possible that the person responsible does not belong to any community or religion.
