Is there people you simply hate from day 1?

Is there a person youve met and you knew, from the second you met them that you just hate their guts? Have you tried to be nice but all attempts fail because of whatever reason? At a previous job, i had been with for a few months, a new sales person just started and it was my job to show him around and all. From the second he started talking to me, i just knew i didnt like him. Everything he said, somehow always came out wrong and was mean and rude. Several months down the track ive tried to be nice, ive approached him and spoken about whats between us and during all attempts to be nice, he says or does something that just stabs me in the back again. Its like he doesnt want to be friends? Anyone else had these experiences? Please share
