What do the ratings do?

I'm just curious to know what the ratings mean. What happens if you rate a post positive or negative? I haven't used this feature yet, since I don't fully understand it's use.

if you feel that the post is good and liked it then you can give a positive rating by pressing the + sign.it will help the responder to get more cents for his post.if you feel it is against the topic or you dislike it as it is irrelevant then you can give negative sign.

I'm not sure I follow. Does the poster receiving the positive get the money? How do you know if you have been rated?

we dont know wheather we have been rated.but if you have rated others then you will be able to see "rated" in red color.the starter of the discussion can give best response to one of the post.but he can able to give rating(postive or negative )to all.similarly any member can also rate other's discussion.

It would be nice to know if you've been rated. I don't think we need to know who's done it, but nice to know if it's happened. I guess I'll be trying that feature out sooner or later. Thanks for the info.

Hi i think you already got an idea of the + and - ratings..now the most imp is to rate ! for abuse. like ppl writing about something else in your discussions/ just pasting stories into discussions which have no relevance to the topic/XXX rated pics etc..

I'm keeping an eye out for things like that. I haven't had reason to report abuse yet, but the time will come at some point. It's not a matter of "if", but a matter of "when".
