Christmas losing its spirit

I remember when i was younger everyone would always be so excited about Christmas and it felt like Christmas was the best holiday because everyone was always so in to it. Now it seems like Christmas is just giving gifts and that's it. People aren't excited about it liek the used to be back in the day. Am I the only one that feels this way?
