Low back pain

i had a severe low back pain starting some days back. i had been sitting in my armchair for most of the day, and in the evening i found that i couldnt stand straight without a severe pain in my lower back! it was also very difficult bending sideways. when i went to bed, i had to lie in a particular position only. any deviation from this position would wake me up. it was a fitful night indeed! the next day i went to the doctor, and i was prescribed some pain medicines and advised not to bend forward and try to sit and stand straight always. thankfully, the x-ray didnot show any gross abnormality!! well, i stuck to the advice faithfully, and in about a week i am pain free now. i am able to go for my tennis classes again. because of our sedentary workstyle and wrong postures many of us might be on our way to damaging our spines! it would be proper if all of us took care of this early, so that we dont end up in corsets or worse still, paralysed waist down, if a spinal bone breaks!! i would be glad if you share any similar experiences and the remedies you tried!!

The low back supports most of the body’s weight, and as a result, is susceptible to pain caused by injury or other problems. Over 80% of adults experience low back pain (LBP) sometime during their life. More than half will have a repeat episode.

some back extension exercises might help buddy! most low back problems are due to weakness of the spine. a doctor's advise should be sought!
