Is there too much violence on tv?

I believe shows today are getting too violent. I think the majority of viewers wants it. It is high in demand and producers of this shows knows it, so the more violent a show is, the higher their rating goes. I think there is enough warrant banning shows like these because it will influence children. You know how kids are, they take things as if it is real.
