I love this story in the Bible. But I have problems trying to understand that such a thing really happened on a global scale. I agree there could have been a flood for "40 days and 40 nights" as told in the Bible. However, I don't think it makes sense that it was global. Perhaps it was just in that area where Noah was. And come to think of it, perhaps that was "the Earth" to those people, not necessarily the whole globe.
Nice tale though!

There are now scientific proofs that a global flood occurred. It could not just be in the area where Noah was for Noah was the tenth generation and all men now came from Noah. The flood was 20 feet above the highest mountain and it remained 150 days.
Noah's 3 sons (and wives) spread and their children spread then the Tower of Babel and it is in the Bible that God determined the places where men are now.
Abraham was the 20th generation and the Lord, 64th. The Holy Bible is complete.

I have heard of scientific proofs that a global flood occurred. For example, in a cave in Baguio City, Philippines, where the location is so many feet above sea level, there are evidence that water stayed there for long. I have heard others and actually read some but I can no longer remember. I think it could be searched now in the internet.

I also believe that it is true, not just a story from mouth to mouth of old people. It is in the Bible and the Bible is the Word of God.

I notice that you read the Holy Bible and it's very good even if you don't believe that it's true.
I believe God and the Holy Bible as the Word of God and it is the truth and so I believe that the flood really happened and it rose to very high above the tallest mountain. There are now many scientific proofs to these, try to search in the internet for I think it's just around here.

I see the story like this, when you listen to God the wicked laugh at you to try and make you feel foolish but as a Noah you have to brush that off and continue to be obedient, thus building the arc. And then when it is all said and done the wicked will perish and you will rise. So while they perish you are blessed by being obedient. Read between the lines and don't doubt the word of God because it is dangerous.

Well, it all depends on the authenticity of the so-called Word of God. I respect that the Bible was inspired by God, and not necessarily the Word of God in totality.
