Why do girls like screamo bands?

well, i like a good selection of music, but screamo is one of my faves. I got turned onto screamo mainly because i enjoy the heaviness of rock music yet it often has melodic break downs which allow you to sing along too! For me, as well, i realise the musical talent behind alot of it, its complex and emotionally intense. Alot of girls seem to be quite in tune with their emotions, but this is an alternative to watery-boring pop music thats often spoon fed through the charts. However, alot of girls seem to like the fashion behind it; tight jeans, retro jewellery, balerina shoes etc. Also like any form of music, its a means of socialising, going to a concert and meeting people etc. Some of my friends like it cos they think the screamo/emo/scene guys are hot though hahaha! But that really shouldnt be a reason why girls like it, oh well, whatever floats their boat!
