reasons why to put or not to put microchip in your brain

let's say it's possible to place a microchip in one's brain, what are the possible reasons why you would like or would not like a microchip to be installed in your brain? this microchip will make you think faster and will make you smarter.

i think that putting a chip in kids is a good idea incase your child ever get's kidnapped. for safety issues. it could be part of the kit thing about kids dna incase they get lost or kidnapped and murdered somewhere. i would definately do it. wouldn't you want to be able to find your kid if they were kidnapped

You are the first one in this discussion who agreed to try implanting the microchip in the brain. I know that the procedure has it's advantages and disadvantages. You gave one good advantage of it. Security purposes for your child.

Let's say the chip is completely flawless. I mean the people behind the chip guarantees that nothing bad will happen to the chip or even to the person being implanted by the chip. Will you still go for it?

I would not want a microchip in my brain because they could use it as a tracking device. I don't like the idea of someone like the government, or even a private company, knowing what I do every minute of the day! That is totally an invasion of privacy. I also think it would be kind of boring if everyone had a microchip in their brain and therefore everyone was super smart. I like the fact that there are different types of people in the world- including the fact that there are many people who are smarter than me!

You have a point there. People might want to have one because it can increase one's ability because of the chip. However, there is also a disadvantage, just like what you've said invasion of privacy.

because in my opinion by utilizing our brain power more and more we can think faster and we will be smarter .
so in my opinion their is no need of this micro-chips .

I get your point. But normally we have to exercise our brain to become more intellectual. Exercising your brain will take quite a while. However with this microchip that is being offer you need not to exert an effort to think faster and better. Will you still go for the implant or not?
