hey all~
so when i started computing i was so gung ho for windows....then my cousin introduced me to the FREE secure world of Linux! (Ubuntu to be exact)
now that i have matured in my computing i have come to be such a Linux evangelist that i try to 'convert' ppl to linux and 'free' them from grip of micro$uck :P
after all let's be real:
winodwos: pricey, bloated, resource hungry, very lacking in security
linux: FREE, lean, can be ran on next to nothing resources (some distro's and configurations) very secure
who wouldn't want all that?!?! :P

True Friend! Linux is the safest and leanest of all OSes.
But the biggest hurdle in acceptance of Linux is that people consider it a geek stuff which it isn't!
People also have misconceptions like its not worth enough because its free as compared to Windows. Also people take great pleasure in using pirated stuff! They don't understand the importance of open source softwares and freewares. Its actually perception that's preventing people to accept Linux.

I prefer Linux over windows. Linux is open source and freely available Windows is close source and costs huge. Linux firewall is good windows firewall is bad. There is various distro available for linux no distros. One advantage of windows is configuration of devices it is easy in windows and not that much easy in linux.
