Capital Punishment v/s Solitary Confinement ! What do u think?

Well I hope that you all might have heard story about lawyers who made bet as to which is good - Capital Punishment(Death) or Solitary Confinement. I my personal view Capital Punishment is of no use because the state of law also does not have any right to take life of a person given by the God instead one can be brought back into right path by giving him/her solitary confinement for certain years in which he/she will realise that cost of remaining away from society. I request each and every persons response regarding this important issue!
