how does one grow in todays world..is it only by hard work..or these days its more of politics inflencing these decisions...

I think that the key to success is never giving up.If you want to do something you have to prove yourself,which requires some effort.I know from my experience that facing your problems also has nice results, but i guess it all depends on the person.I don't know some of us have the talent to succeed some of us don't.
