Applauds really needed from Elders,isn't it???

Children get excited whenever their parents or others applaud for their small activities in home or anywhere else.It is not stopped there even when we tend to do a job in our company when we get some kind of encouraging words like 'Great work man','Excellent','Go ahead my boy' makes us really enthusiastic to participate in any kind of difficulties and solve them easily.What is your opinion in this?
