I'm considering selling Pikes Peak!

Now I know you all might think I've lost my mind, but I've got an idea!
Noticing as how it is Christmas time and money is sort of tight, I thought I might raise a little extra money by selling half-ounce bags of dirt taken from the world famous tourist attraction here in Colorado Springs, Colorado...Pikes Peak Mountain!
I'm talking about pure, sifted dirt fresh from the top! No one would miss it for a while....at least not until they notice a couple of feet is missing off the top!
What better way for would-be tourists who have never been to Colorado to own a piece of this famous mountain? After all, they did it with the Berlin wall! Besides, I'm tired of having to drive all the way around the mountain to get to the other side. If I could sell enough of it, I could save a lot of time and gas money by driving straight through.
So, who wants to buy a piece of Pikes Peak? I can't give my contact information here, cuz I don't want the Feds to bust me. If you're interested, leave me a note here and I'll get back to you!
LOL

I would be intrested in a barter or trade as I lived in Colorado Springs when I was in the third grade attended Edision Elementary school and used day dream as I stared out the window at the massive Pikes Peak.
So what about a trade of some fine white sandy beach slightly rough en uped by Hurricane Ivan down here in Florida and I will even throw in a ticket to the annual bush whacker festival.
Deal Or No Deal? LOL
It really is a lovely part of the country.

Ok, I'll take some, but then I have a problem....I'm in Missouri..if I lay down dirt from Colorado, what state will I actually be in...I'll be standing on soil of both states...I'm confused...maybe I'd better spend the money for therapy instead.

Will trade one unnamed star of your choice for one freight car load of dirt from Pike's Peak. You must register your star's name with the International Astronomical Union for international acceptance. Soil must be covered and protected so as not to be contaminated by other elements in transit. Have your driver ask for direct signature with ID. We would not want anyone to intercept such precious cargo, now would we? Please advise as to expected time of arrival.

Just send $3.99 + $2.50 S&H and I will send you the dirt in a plain brown envelope! lol (Fake Deed will be an added expense!)

So glad you are still here... seeing as to how I too have all the dirt/soil that I need how about some of the rocks! I am sure the mountain has rocks in it. Would need to limit the sizes though I would like to arrange for pick up. What kind of charge for my situation! Wow, Colorado rocks! And Pike's Peak to boot!!

Oh, how I miss Pikes Peak. I did not realize you were in Colorado Springs. I lived there for a few years - 79-85. I graduated from Coronado HS. I loved it out there!!! When I went back for my 20th reunion I took my kids and that was the first time I had ever driven up to the top of Pikes Peak. I had been a passenger plenty of times. It was the first time either of my boys had been up there and it snowed - in June of course! My oldest was born there and it was a great trip down memory lane for both of us. I don't have any dirt and would love some!!!! Stay warm and don't have a heart attack shoveling snow!!!
ps - I thought you were done with MyLot, glad you're sticking around....

You are always trying to get in trouble with the law aren't you? First with your alien story and now with trying to sell a well known tourist attraction! You are just asking for it buster! hehe Well, I'm poor, so would you be willing to just "give" me some of it for free? I mean we are friends right? And it is Christmas, the season of giving. :)

I would take some of pikes peaks dirt. It will complement the ashes I got from Mount St Helen and the instant water from Lake Michigan. Oh Ya and the Mud from the Mississippi.
Would you include a rock or two from Look Out Mout. too. I forgot to get some when I was there back in 83. Thanks ahead of time.

WOULD "I" DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT?! NOT MOI!
IF YOU SEND ME $, I WILL MAKE SURE THE DIRT COMES FROM THE TOP OF PIKES PEAK!!! (I'm sure it has washed down from there sometime in the distant past and settled in my backyard where Chunkers now conducts his personal business)
This is just a JOKE!! I'm actually conducting a test of the intelligence of MyLot users! You have just passed! Congratulations. Now if you will be so kind as to send me $3.99, I will send you dirt directly from my very own backyard! You will never know the difference! I'll even send you a phoney deed to accompany your fake dirt! lol

Hmm, i think I would pass. I've never really thought about visiting Pike's Peak. I had heard of it, but I never considered it famous.
