What punishment should rapists get?

The answer is blunt but if this method is adopted then rapists will fear at the name of rape!! CUT THE MALE ORGAN OF THE RAPIST if he is found guilty after a medical check up of the victim and identification of the rapist as the accused. No one will try to rape somebody after this is followed strictly. What do u think????

They should go to jail forever ,and their you know what should cut off. They cannot be reabiltated, and should not come out on parole to do it again.

I think life in prison would be the best. As far as him being raped, he probably will be if he gets life in prison.

Definitely life imprisonment. I agree with you. I think they should feel the impact back to them by this. They literally ruin somebody's life by raping. Killing them is not the best solution.

Life imprisonment AND sterilisation (by cutting off their male organs). It may seem harsh but I think rapists should get what they deserve. After all, by committing the act, they are destroying lives.

I think that a rapist needs to be punished much more. After all he is ruining the life of someone innocent so the punishment should repay him for what he has done. Rigrous imprisonment may be just a part of it. They should then be given some kind of counselling and should be studied whether there are chances that they would commit such a crime after being released. If such is the case then they should not be released at all.

I think the punishment is not the end of any crime. Imagine for a while what happens to the rapist. who will marry the victim of this act. In my opinion, he should get marry the same girl with whom he has raped. But some punishment is required

I'm an anarchist and libertarian person, and so I've always been against life imprisonment and capital punishment, but I must admit that the rape is a crime that I can't stand. Rape forced to me to face the reality, the violent world around me and so, as I think our society is a "biological body" and every biological body has the right to defend itself, I think that rapists have to be punished. With life imprisonment or capital punishment, I don't know, but they must harm nobody anymore.

There is a law for every sin committed in every country. A rapist must be punished according to the laws of that land but in my view it is a very bad crime. A rapist ruins the life of an innocent girl and there is no fault of the girl in this.

The rapists can be separted into two kinds:the first kind rapists,the own great wealth and have the tight connections with the person who hold the power,so they can play laws and even at large after rape;another kind of rapists live at the foot of the soicial ladder,they have nothing to worry about,so they dear to do all the things they want,this is also the long times social pressure's result.sigh! law is useless to the first kind but can only do the publishments to the second kind people.

When a child is sexuall abuse or a person is raped their soul is taken away from them just like murder. I don't think a rapist or a childmolester should ever get the opportunity to commit the crime again.

If you read my post you would know why I feel the way that I do. I would say cut off his little play toy. Then he would not have the opportunity to do it to another person. I lost a best friend because of this and there is this emptiness that can never be filled. The rapist did not just destroy his own life but the victim all that knew the victim. We all hurt from it in one way or another.

I think a rapists should spend the rest of his life in prison. If they have the balls to rape someone and hurt them emotionally then they should rot.

I agree it is a Worst Crime. as you said life imprisonment should be sentenced but, Just think of his family Or his wife or childrens( if married). I am not supporting Rapists here but, iam worrries about his family. The best solution for rapists is They should be given Hard Punishment & work In jail. Govt. should make rapists to pay a heavy fine to the girl & his family which he should pay by working in jail.
