Anybody in particular you would give coal to for Christmas this year? And why? I told my 11 year old daughter I was going to give her coal for Christmas this year because she keeps trying to wear skimpy clothing to school under her regular clothes.

This is truly funny twistedvanilla but coal is something that is seldom used here in Australia, or at least for heating that is. Why does your daughter want to wear skimpy clothes under her school uniform? That has me more puzzles than anything else, and when I think that she isn't even a teenager yet.
Okay, here is a piece of coal that you can give to your daughter twistedvanilla, and although it is too late for Christmas maybe you can save it for her birthday. LOL

Coal because if you're bad Santa gives you coal instead of toys.... and she doesnt wear a uniform, we can't afford private school so my kids just wear regular clothes, jeans and tshirts, etc. She tries to wear clothes that would be more in keeping with a music video than for an 11 year old - trying to look older I guess. Thanks for your input though, lol.

Thanks for the explaination of the coal in lieu of presents twistedvanilla because I had never heard of it before. That might be because it is summer here at Christmas and coal would be the last thing anyone would want. :)
If only children realised that they are children for such a short period of time, and that we can never return to those carefree days. Oh well, cannot put a wise head on young shoulders.

Yep, like the saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink.

Maybe you should follow through with the coal. Then give her real stuff afterwards lol. I'd give it to my grandfather. He's a total scrooge.

Actually, I sent my dad a small bag of coal this past Christmas, along with a book about the coal mining region of Pennsylvania. He got a kick out of it and really enjoyed the book. I moved here 2 yrs ago from the south.
