The difference between Grisham and Horatio is?

I personally favor Grisham's character over Horatio's. Horatio seems to make t personal with every criminal. And his little threats and sayings are completely annoying. On the other hand Grisham has the more enjoyable character. I like his sense of humor at the same time very serious. I think he is more accomplished and easily to watch on TV. WHat do you think?

One major difference IMO anyway are the acting skills. I can't stand "Horatio's" horrible acting. His mood always seems the same as does the way he delivers his lines. I've never been a fan of the actor, perhaps that's part of the issue. "Grisom" on the other hand I feel is a much better actor. He has depth and changes his mood/emotions for each episode. Plus he seems more believeable to me.

definitely Grisham's character. I can't stand the way David Caruso makes those little head movements, where he kind of hands his head down low and to the side and then just talks in this very slow manner that is just so irritating, like he thinks he is real cool or something

I tought i was the only one who dislikes David Caruso on that kind of act, now i know im not alone, he should changed his act, im starting to hate CSI Miami because of his head down and low town act. I hope a friend of David Caruso reads this discussion and inform him about that act... not cool at all.

That is so funny how people see things so totally different. I love the way Horatio does that. It makes him seem hard, and unfeeling or something to me. That is why when he does show feelings, it seems to make it more interesting to me.

I agree with you Horatio is annpying and it seems like Grissom is more of a team player, he actually cares what the other guys think. Acting wise there is no competition Grissom rules and that's all there is to it. Horatio just comes around thinking he's all that and a bag of chips, but really hes not.

I like Grisham's character better. He seems to be the scientist sort thats all absorbed in his work. Even though we do know of a relationship between him and Sarah. But his character believes in following the evidence and that he does. He comes across as more professional. I don't care for Horatio's character as much. He seems to intent on showing how smart he is. He doesn't seem to follow the evidence in the same way. I always feel like he came to the conclusion by some inner knowledge that we aren't privy to.

I think Grish's character is loosely based on his role in Manhunter (the original film based on "Red Dragon", and the first Hannibal Lecter film - I personally think it's the best Lecter film, and is the most scary). He's certainly a more sympathetic, interesting and quirky character. Horatio's character just seems to be based around the egocentric character of Mr. "I used to be a Leprechaun in Hill St. Blues, and thought I was bigger than NYPD Blue" David Caruso. He comes across as thinking himself to be very cool and interesting, with a dark secretive side, whereas he just comes across as being in love with himself! He should have stuck to the Leprechaun Gang - it seems to have been the role which suited his stature as an actor best!

By saying "best film" by david caruso, there's an implication that he acted well in it! I'd personally describe it as "least crap performance" rather than "best film" !!!!

I can't stand how Horatio always holds his head to the side, makes him look like a Sharpei. He is way too serious all the time, always the drama king it seems. He always acts like everyone is probably hanging on every word he says and then he tries to talk in riddles sort of, or mabye he's just asking stupid questions. I don't know. But Grisham, Grissom, whatever, is the cutest, most pleasant of them. Also the New York guy, he's cool but way too serious also.

I like Grisham a whole lot better than Horatio. Horatio annoys me with his cocked head and the slight attitude he portrays, not as his character but I think as himslef. Grisham is more serious and more professional than Horatio too!

I agree. Grissom plays the CSI guy. He works in the lab. Isn't that what he is supposed to do? When was the last time you saw Horatio in a lab coat? He plays cop but is supposed to be a CSI investigator. It rubs me the wrong way.

Grissom is definately the best! He's the only one that really investigates the cases and isn't interested in playing cops and robbers like H. is. H needs to realize his job is an investigator. And on another note i think Grissom needs to get with Lady Heather,Sara is to depressing for him!

Honestly? I can't stand to watch CSI Miami because Horatio creeps me out. I swear he's a pedifile or something. I can't stand how he has to be turned sideways and have that certain "angle" in every shot. Drives me nuts!!! Plus, he has some sort of holier than thou attitude. I do like Grissam, though. I also like CSI New York.

I agree with the topic starter. Grisham looked more mature in his character and knows what he's doing. He always put on that serious expression but it feels good to see him smile once in awhile.

I couldn't agree more with all you guys. Grisham is an intelligent guy, highly educated, and always cool. Horatio make everything personal which cannot be real...

I agree with you. I prefer grisham over horatio. Grisham is also more analytical than Horatio, who cant go without his sunglasses...Over all, i prefer the orig CSI than NY and Miami

Grisham is the better of the two. I do not like CSI Miami, mainly because of Horatio. He drives me insane with his head cocked-off to one side all the time. Doesn't the actor get severe pain from this? It also annoys me to no end how he mutters all the time. You want to smack him aside his head and tell him to speak up.

They are completely different characters. Grisham cares about his staff and doesn't have a personal life. Horatio cares about his team and you know a lot more about his past. he tries to help others. I like Gibbs best.

I prefer Grisham to Horatio too. When CSI Miami first started I watched it every week. Then all a sudden a year or so ago, I simply lost interest. I do think that Grisham has more depth. They've shown many facets to Grishams character.
