I need gift ideas for my mother. We're not close at all. I was raised by my father. I know very little about her but I'm going to be see her next week and would like to give her something. I heard she got something for me and my children! HELP! Ideas? LOL

What does your mother like? Does she have a hobby that she likes? How about giving her a nice picture of you and the children? How about a nice flower arrangement (not cut flowers but the ones you can keep). A book of poems. Maybe a scrapbook of you with things in it when you were a child. I hope this will get you started. I do hope your visit will be a very nice one.

I'm not sure what she likes actually. I may give her a picture if I can find a decent one LOL.. Thanks for the neat ideas!

I think maybe a framed photograph of your children. If you two haven't been close then she won't have much (if anything) about her grandchildren. Alternately, maybe something yummy to eat, perhaps even something you made yourself? Regardless of what you decide there, I wish you the very best in seeing her. It's unusual for children to be raised by a single father, and so I would imagine there's some kind of back story there. I hope that it is very good for you to see her again.

What about a gift certificate card. Movie tickets. Homemade candy or assorted cookies.

You could have a basket put together with all kinds of little personal things, things that are part of you and your family, make a basket of memories for her,use your imagination.all you need to do is sit down and write out a plan of what you would ike to have in your basket and go from there, make sure that you put a big pretty bow on it.
