Only a day away, Christmas eve will soon be upon us. Does anyone else have the feeling of the buzz and excitement of Christmas? I have that butterfly in the stomach feeling that goes along with the holiday and am so excited because this is the first in a few years I've felt it again. I was so sick with cancer before that I barely could enjoy anything but this year is different for me and I thank GOD for allowing me to enjoy it all again!

Oh! I am so glad you are better from cancer and are feeling that "buzz" of Christmas. I have that buzz but just a bit. I love christmas, but I hate how it doesn't feel like Christmas a lot anymore. I do have that slight buzz though and when we go to bed tomorrow night I'll be able to feel it even more.

I was hopsitalized last night so I will spend Christmas here. Honestly I could care less but in here its so awful because everyone feels like they have to compensate and it feels like they are forcing the holiday down my throat. I'm here because I'm broken. Yes, its Christmas but please....in moderation people!

i dont know, why but i get those feelings after halloween. i think of the family coming over and dancing and laughing and having a good time. once it gets closer i think of the other things that we, catholics, usually celebrate every year. thats the (in spanish) "el levantamiento" and new years. i like feelings like this.

I know what you mean... even the non-christian's seem to be able to enjoy the feeling of Christmas. I think that's a good thing... perhaps we could find something else to unite in good feelings with!!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear that you're not feeling the spirit!!! I hope something within sparks your spirit and you realize what a wonderful and joyous day this is for all of us!!! Even those that do not share the beliefs as Christians can't help but feel the warmth of the holiday itself. I truly do hope you feel it and remember how lucky you are to share this world with us!!!! Merry Christmas!

Oh, don't feel bad for me. It all happens for a reason, and obvious to me is the reason... it made me appreciate my life, my family, and my God. I wish you happiness and good health also!!!! Merry Christmas!

That's okay... our spirit that surrounds us during the holidays is something that even the non-Christians can feel. It's a feeling of happiness, deep love and excitement! Sometimes I think it's one of the only ways Christians and non-Christians can share themselves together! So even though you do not celebrate, enjoy our spirit of happiness with us! And I hope you feel the love and joy we have!

I haven't felt the buzz of christmas in a long time and when I mean long, I'm talking about when I was in elementary school. I'm 21 now. It just seems that the holiday spirit has been reduced to nothing.

Ahhh... reach deep inside of yourself and bring it back!!! The true spirit is deep inside each of us. It's the realization that you have been given another day to celebrate life and you truly are a blessing to our world. Make a difference and allow yourself to find Christmas again. It is still here... I promise!!! Sometimes you just have to search for it.

Me and my kids are the same way... we're more about the giving and cannot wait to share what we've done for others! It's hard to understand unless you really realize the reason for the season but it is a spirit of giving and seeing the happiness on someone else's face! Merry Christmas!

I absolutely love Christmas. It is the celebration of the birth of our Lord. And also a very beautiful time of year. Many people get too caught up in the purchasing and receiving of presents to trully enjoy the beauty that surrounds us.

Christmas music plays all day. The oven is warm and smells of baking cookies fill the air. The gifts are needing to be wrapped. I am off to the dollar store for paper. Forgot to get any. thought I would use newspaper, but don't buy the newspaper. LOL. Merry Christmas!
