Kindly take time to look at the picture below. The Picture was taken in Sudan,1994. The vulture is waiting for the child to die so that it can eat him. This picture shocked the whole world. Kevin Carter who took this photograph committed suicide after three months. This Christmas, I hope you can help those in need in anyway that you can. Lets not think about what we will receive tis Holiday season, lets think of what can we give! A little Prayer for them won't hurt you!

Thank you for starting this discussion! The picture is terribly shocking and made my heart pound with compassion, but most people (including me) need to look at things like that to remind them how luck they are and that they were just lucky not to be born were this poor child was.

Yes, we all should be very thankful for what we have. Looking at that picture should make us even more thankful. That was sad that the vulture was there waiting for the child to die to eat him. I see why this picture would shock the whole world. It would be very hard for me to see something like that in person and would try to help the boy if I could. We all should say a prayer whether before meals or before we got to bed or at church.

That is what I do every night before retiring to bed--thank God for what he has given me and also for what he hasn't.Very much True some of us are not content with what we have and are constantly on the lookout to dig for more when all we can take back while going is nothing and all the property we would need would be a 6 foot grave. The world has enough for everyones needs but not for everyones greeds.

Good discussion! IN this time when people value more material things, we forget to thank God and realize, that despite all our problems, there are lots of people in the world who are far more in need than us! So, we just be thankful that this calamities don't happen to us! GOD IS GREAT!

I thank God for His mercies and love. He sent His only son to die for me. The best thing and only way to show this gratitude is to give and remember the poor not only this christmas but all the time

That photo is terribly sad. I have saw it before many times and it hurts me each time I see it. It pains me that so many people live each day without food and water and we as a people take advantage of what we do have.

How very sad. I think that since I live in the US, I tend to forget that even though I don't have a lot of money, I have the necessities. That's more than many people in the world have.
