As a major cricket fan, I am shattered that Warnie has announced his retirement. The loss of both Shane and Glen McGrath is going to be a massive blow for our cricket team. I think all the negative publicity surrounding Shane Warne has finally gotten to him. I don't think it will be enough to knock the Australian cricket team out of the competition I have to say :D

As an Aussie myself, I think the timing is right, as maybe he needs to spend quality time sorting out his private life as he sure has made a mess of it lately!

Yes, I think shane warne was the best spinner ever and his record also back him up. I think all the great players choose to leave at their peak and it was right time for shane warne to leave.
Australian team will take some time to replace a match winner like him

When will go go hewill be sadly missed and hard to replace but he had served Australia and cricket very well and can be held up as examples of how you should commit to something you love and the way he is always ready to step up when called upon. he is a shining examples and will be remembered for a long time.
We can also look forward to him applying his great knowledge of the game in the public arena.

Of course it is. He and Mcgrath are tow of the bests in contemporary cricket. But one of the specialities of the Team Australia is their bench strength. I am sure with the likes of Mcgill, hogg and stuart Clsrke, they wont miss the services of Warney and pigeon.
