Computer problem reffered to VGA card, can you help me??

sorry, recently i was buying a vga card (GeForce FX 5500 GPU 256mb)... but after i install the hardware and stick the cable, the monitor just dont show any screen at all, but the strange things is my cpu still running, i can hear the voice windows start but the monitor is still in off condition... can you help me ^^
