the toughest time of my life

i think everybody has gone through dark and difficult periods of his/her life. my toughest time was when we(my family) almost lost everything -- money, car, appliances because my mom got hooked up with gambling. i went to school with money only enough for my transportation expense. during those times i could not eat lunch in school even if i was very hungry because i did not have enough money (or if i did, i would think of the next day and decide to save the money instead for the expenses the next day). I hated my mom and blamed her for what happened to us. Fortunately with the help of relatives and friends, we were able to rise again and to make a living from a start-up business. Does anybody want to share his/her experience/success story as well? i love to hear those kinds of stories...very inspiring...

I've been through rough emotional and financial times but the worst time for me was about a week after my daughter was born. I had congestive heart failure and the doctors told me I had less then two hours to live. I asked if I could see my daughter, but the doctors told me no. I was asked if I wanted my last rights ready to me. I refused and at that moment I decided that I was going to see my daughter again. Being told I would never see my daughter again was the toughest time in my life. Here I am eight years later and I've had a second child as well! You make think what you are going through the toughest time in your life, but remember that experience will make you stronger.

As I wrote in another one of my discussions, my mom abused me physically, emotionally for years and also sexually abused me a couple of times but to be honest, I would rather have to go through that all over again than have to be brought up with no money, as in no food, can't pay the bills, etc. I can sorta imagine what it would be like and how hungry, embarrassed and pi$$ed you must have been. I'm really sorry you had to go through that!

Well done to you all as a family for pulling together in this way. You must feel now like a very strong unit, able to deal with anything that life throws at you. Very much credit is due to your Mom for giving up this habit, its supposed to be so hard to break. Wish you luck for the future also! I don[t have such an inspirational story I'm afraid, but I will say that at the moment I am hoping to turn my life around through big changes. I am so bored with it. Good luck to you for the future!

Thankfully your family was able to rebuild. My family is always having problems paying for bills, and yet my father keeps wanting to buy more and more stuff. It's starting to get ridiculous. My mom yells at him about it, but he does what he wants.

Ok I dont tell very many people this but I'll tell you cause you know how it feels. I grew up very poor. We lived in our car for periodsof time sometimes months. We lived in run down motels and there were times when we didnt know when the next time was that we would get to eat. My dad worked always sometimes 2 jobs. It was barely enough to keep the roof over our heads. It was very hard sometimes. But it wasnt always like that. We were doing good when I was younger my father worked for a great company for 16 years. Then one day with no notice they fired everyone and closed down. This devastated my family. We were forced to move from our home and leave the life my parents had worked so hard to give us. Then it was down hill from there. My parents are older now and things are better. But all the stress has caused my mom to have high blood pressure which led to congestive heart failure in march of 2006. But now things are better and we are all doing pretty good with the exception of my brother. So even though our life was rough for many years it is by far a lot better now.

I would have to say the thoughest times in my life was being a teenage mother. Although I am still with the father of my children, we have gone through some tough times. We had to donate plasma every other day just to get by until the next pay day. I am so thankful that I made it through those times. I am doing much better now. I know God won't give us anything that we cannot handle and I am glad that I went through those times because it has made me a better person.

think that exactly that the problems are great, it never they seram bigger of the one than its force you always will be able to support its problems. And when a problem to arrive ahead of you faces it. It does not say for its God who you have a great problem, but says for the problem that you have a great GOD!
