The Real Hero of Lord of the Rings

I think the real hero is samwise gamgee! i mean, aragorn gandalf elrond and the works were BORN with great powers, great destiny. the things that they did, people wud expect them to do it! but sam, a little hobbit who wud have otherwise been in the shire not knowing anything went with frodo to mordor, and without sam frodo wud have never destroyed the ring! and his loyalty to frodo! i really think that if i had to pick 1 person without which the ring woudn't have been destroyed, its samwise the brave!

i guess it is out of loyalty to frodo
frodo didn't do much as samwise did
but definitely if it is not frodo
i don't think samwise will do what he did

i totally agree with u.frodo would have gone nowhere without sam who helps him through every ordeal of his.when frodo is tempted to wear the ring umpteen number of times it is samwise who stops him.he sacrifices the last bit of lembas and water of his share and gives it to frodo.he correctly guesses the evil intentions of gollum when frodo is willing to trust gollum.he is frodo's comfort when frodo is tormented by evil nightmares,feverish dreans due to the power of the ring.

I think the best character was Gandalf the white cause without him nobody would have known what to do with ring.
He mad Frodo understand that this was his journey to end evil. He made it in such way that Frodo understood what was at stake :)

ah.. according to me the real hero of lord of the rings is SAm.. i dont think without him frodo would be able to complete the task assigned to him..

Sam, yer. He is so underappreciated as he does so much, and Frodo would have got no where without him, and he was always loyal to him. And then he has to see his best friend and master leave, but at least he has kids and a wife.

you r so right...i was dying to tell that to someone..actually u kinda typed out what i had in my mind...he's the best character in the story(no offence)..i liked the part wen he fought shelob to save frodo and the part wen he carried him to mount doom..incredible...

In my opinion the real hero is frodo who has to undergo all the burdens willingly
