I can see both sides of th argument.
In case you don't know, The Biggest Loser is a weekly television show in which very overweight people are put in a situation where they lose weight on a 'farm' type setting, where all their challenges are based around exercise and such.
I can see that the show is meant to promote healthy weight and a healthy lifestyle, and these overweight people are learning this while the audience is too. Also, the end result, where the overweight people generally lose a HUGE amount of their weight, is a goal for other people watching at home; a sort of 'if they can do it, do can I'
However, I can also see how badly this show is biased against people who are overweight. The contestants are not really viewed as whole, happy people until the end, where they have lost most of their excess weight. They are viewed as somehow incomplete, hindered, or lonely people while they are carrying their extra pounds. I've known a lot of peole that got very angry at the underlying message that 'everyone will feel better when they are thinner'.
I can see and agree with both aspects of this show; however, do you have a particular opinion of the show and how overweight people are represented in it?
