Kurt didn't die . His music , his lyrics , his songs everything is still alive . And he will live in our hearts forever . And there are several grunge bands like Pearl jam , and alice in chains , i love their music , But there will never be Nirvana kind of music again!

There was and there will never be any comparison to Nirvana and Kurt Cobain. Although there have been some more bands who have tried to keep grunge alive, but the condition is no more the same. Although, i have faith in Pearl Jam and i absolutely love their music, but Nirvana had carved a niche for itself which can never be replaced. But lets hope for the best.

Nope.... certainly not. The greatest contributors for grunge were Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains. The deaths of both Staley and Kobain led grunge to disarray but Pearl Jam is still holding the fort. However, off-late, I find them to be more mature and subtle.

I believe that quality grunge did die with Kobain. I know that there have been a lot and i mean a lot of other bands that have tried to call themselves grunge bands. These bands could never dream of holding a candle to Kobain. I would have to say that grunge did die when Kobain did.
