is it right to not celebrate CHRISTMAS as CHRISTMAS?

the british and american governments have come up with some new and amazing words - "winterval" being one of them. george bush and tony blair think that we live in a multi-ethnic, multi-religious society so it's not right to call the christmas holidays as that - just call them a "winterval" or just holidays. even x-mas trees are being banned from govt offices.
damn stupid...what say? i aint a christian myself but i love wishing my friend anne a happy christmas. i love my diwali and i see no reason to grudge someone their christmas holidays.
here's wishing you a merry x-mas!

Christmas in western countries is tradition i think it is sad that they are trying to change that. Christmas is still so very special and should be left along, I am not religious either but I still think it is special.
