I.Q. of Indian students are higher than that of the other countries and eventhough millions of Indian who cannot afford to buy a computer of their own, today they are pioneers in Software Industry, thanks to the University education here in India. This has resulted in large number of students coming out of the University with degrees in one faculty or the other and suddenly they came to know there is a scope for software and Institutes imparting education in soft came up in no time and there was a mad rush to learn software. All these resulting in millions of Indians with software knowledge were able to get placement all over the world. Plus several IT industries of international repute started opening their branches in India. The giants TATAs, WIPROs, Infosys, Microland all started branches in all partsof the country and started absorbing the graduates with computer knowledge. This large scale operation continuing even today and resulting in software boom in India.

yes it has improved a lot . India has become now global market and resource for IT software. Many jobs are coming and many people making money out of it
