can anyone help me to understand god?

yes thats rite i want to understand god. i mean what is god?
we all know surely do believe that it is not a myth but a reality that that almighty do exist. but has anyone thought on the almighty? like how does he feel about himself or does he have any friends? or for that matter how did god came into existance? i know that GOD IS. GOD WAS. AND GOD WILL BE.but again i think from where did he got all his powers and how he manages all the universe. how to understand him?
why did he created us? what was his intention? why does he want us to acknowledge him? wwhat howw it benefit him sending people on earth or heaven or hell?
why does he insist on reckoning him? after all he is so powwerful that even if anyone rejects his existance, it will hardly matter to him.
and above all (with due respect and honour towards god) how did he came into existance? i mean everyliving thing on earth has a starting point of life ie birth but what about god.
forget about any religion. i want to know only god and the more i think the more i get myself confused. what do u think?

I don't think we were put here to try and figure HIM out. God is not to be understood, rather obeyed. God does not tell us try and figure me out, rather, to accept HIM, ask forgiveness, and live a life that honors HIM. Our ultimate goal is to get to HIM, Be in HIS prescence. and this means get to Heaven, and we cannot get to heaven without Jesus. Why, because Jesus is the Way, The Truth and The Life. Accept Him. He will make things clear.
