Great Christmas Shopping Experience

First, let me start with, I truly hate shopping. If you saw my wardrobe, you'd agree that I hate shopping and should do it more often.
That being said, I had the BEST Christmas shopping experience ever yesterday. Usually I'm done with my shopping early. Traditially, I take a few mornings, fight the crowds of the mall and complain, moan and groan about shopping.
This time, because I started a new job, I was unable to shop during the day, and my evenings have been consumed with my children's extra curricular activities. The stress was beginning to build because Christmas was right around the corner and I've done nothing. I was so stressed that the muscles in my neck tightened to the point where I had to visit the chiropractor (who was unable to do much because my muscles were so tight and painful).
Anyway, to make a long story short, yesterday I spent the entire day in the mall and I had a GREAT time. I made sure I wore my comfy sneakers and I adjusted my attitude to enjoy the experience. I spent 6 hours in a packed mall making friends and shopping. I made several trips back and forth to the car to drop off the gifts and continued shopping.
It's amazing how nice people are when you have the right attitude. When I got hungry, I called my hubby, and we met at a nice Italian restaurant in the mall. We ate, had a couple of glasses of wine and then he left and I finished my shopping.
It was a GREAT day. I realize that my aversion to shopping is because my attitude was wrong. I think I've started a new Christmas shopping tradition.
I'm curious, how do you view Christmas shopping? Do you find it to be something you have to do and you dread it or do you look forward to it?
