How do you prepare to become a single parent?

How do you get ready to raise a person all alone, what emotional hurdles do you have to leap before you can say you are ready? i knew i was going to do this alone from the moment i saw two lines on the strip. what do i do to deal with this and how do i know that i am making the right decision by keeping my baby?
