cant single out a song have many metallica favourites some of them are: Unforgive Enter Sandman Sad but true Nothing Else Matters Whiskey in the jar Turn the page St Anger and many more...

'the unforgiven' is a really cool song. but my favorite metallica number is' nothing else matters'. james hettfield really sung it well. the stage show versions are also cool. othern than that 'turn the page' is an eye opener.

yea..i like the unforgiven...but i wont label it as metallica's best song...in my opinion their best song is master of puppets followed by fade to black and the one...

I love "The Unforgiven" by Metallica too but my favourite / best songs of all times are : 1. Hey You - Pink Floyd 2. Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits 3. Bird of Paradise - Snow White 4. Long Way Down - Goo Goo Dolls

I agree... but I feel "Enter sand man" is the best song because of its dynamics. also, I feel this song made them more popular and really showed their musical ability.
