rating or number of post???

the number inside the bracket beside my user name...what does this indicate???IS it my rating???is there any effect of rating at my earning??? People with higher rating earns much???please tell me

The figure within the bracket besides your username is the no. of points you have earned so far. We have seen that figure decreased few times. That figure will keep on changing as you take part in a discussion and reply in discussions.

The number dat is shown besides ur name is the number of posts u have taken. Ur ratings are available besides the post u have posted in the form of -ve , +ve and !
